THE THREE MISSIONARY SISTERS FROM ITALY

Sr.  Claudia

Sr. Daniela

Sr. Stefania

Almost 30 years after Vatican II,

Our Congregation decided to go in mission

outside of Italy, and solicited by her Bishop Mons. Francesco Gioia,

3 Italian sisters  (Sr.Daniela Sgalla who is our Superior until now, Sr. Stefania Panichelli and Sr. Claudia Eleonori, her companions)

arrived in Manila on

 June 1, 1991.

With the authorization and under the jurisdiction of his Eminence Cardinal Sin, they established their Convent in Tahanan vill. Paranaque in the Jesus the Divine Healer Parish.

Very soon some Aspirants

entered the Congregation, the pioners were Sr. Lina Baliling and Sr. Pilar San Diego; because of their previous experience in their Parishes, the Sisters started to teach the Catechism.

The Sisters visited also the area of the poor people, giving donations in Elsie Gachies, in squatters area in Cagayan de Oro, Carrascal in Surigao del Sur and in Baguio.

More candidates came in our Convent when the Sisters began the vocation campaign, so later they were able also to animate the Liturgy in our Parish. Our Convent in Tahanan Vill. was erected as house of Formation. The presence of the Sisters in our Parish was greatly appreciated: their 1st apostolate was the Apostolate of prayer,

More than 20 Sisters were formed in Tahanan Vill. Then  they continued their formation in Italy, doing also the apostolate of our Congregation

Our Congregation opened the school in Calauan, Laguna, in 2004.  Our school has the same name of the Congregation: Sisters of the Child Jesus School, and started with 30 children in pre-school, but now also the elementary is completed from 1-6 grade: with the recognition from the DepEd, and has 295 students. The Congregation chose a place of poor people willingly to  help them.
